Q: hi all i have a small problem with my new ram 1500 qc hemi with 2900 km ! last night went out started to drive away when the brake idiot light came on as well as the abs brake light ! so i shut it down and restarted and it went away for about 2 mins. at this time i also noticed that the speedometer was bouncing between 0 and 15 km even though i was in park or at a full stop. restarted it again lights went out but the speedometer is still bouncing around! any thoughts i will take it to the dealer asap and post my findings. scott .

lol..could be... i am not sold on it yet....the durango went back in for lifter problems....when i went to get it there was another one in there with the cam pin sheared off..49 miles on it.. yesterday when i went to get my hitch for the 2500 2 more with lifter problems..hope its not another 4.7l nightmare in the making.. what 4.7 nightmare are you referring to was there a problem with the first production engines from what ive read on this group the 4.7 has been proven to be a reliable engine so far.... it is a pos..there are several class action lawsuits against dc right now about that very motor. reliable hardly. oiling issues poor crankcase ventilation customers that have changed the oil on a regular schedule and are still replacing motors left and right. they sludge up..no matter what you do to them. god help you if you change your own oil...and it fails under warranty. you better have kept records reciepts and such..and the records need to be perfect. i dont know who it was but one fella even talked about how the dealership told him that since he didnt have the vehicle in for service on a regular basis for oil changes he was out of warranty...thats when he reached in the glove box and produced a stack of oil change tickets from that dealership every 3500 miles....the severe service change..amazing... http//www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/dodgeduroil.html .
