purchase the new shoes he is asked if he needs a 9 or 11. how do you find out the right size. it depends on what axle the truck has. the easiest thing to do is measure it. if you can take the wheel off just measure the diameter of the brake drum. if the outside dimension is a little over 10 thats a 9 drum. if its just over 12 thats an 11 drum. if you cant take the wheel off you can measure the gap betwen the drum and the wheel crawl under the truck and look at the back of the wheel. the wheel is 15 in diameter so if you have a 9 drum youll have just over 2 between the drum and the wheel. if you have about an inch and a half thats an 11 drum. the third option is just buy both sets of shoes and return the one thats the wrong size. .
