2 questions: oil pan gaskets and creaking steering

Q: wasnt i shocked when i was told the price of replacing my oil pan gasket on my 97 4x4 v10. does anyone know if any company makes a split gasket that i could replace in my driveway oil pan gasket or rear main seal the oil pan gasket is easy enough to replace. its the rear main that can be a bitch of a job and no no one makes a two-piece for the v10 due to the nature of the seal retainer that the seal actually sits in. .
