Q: not sure who makes them...have had them on the truck since 2002...purchased right from dc dealer. dont think there is any rubber inside those mirrors...just plastic. didnt take them completely apart. pretty sure anyone who has them will find that in a dry climate the mirrors will fall off when the double sided tape dries out. looks like that will happen in about 3 years which was about how long ive had these on the truck. fred my first comment here would be to advise you that wd40 is not a lubricant. wd40 will dry out and in fact will even displace and dilute any existing lubricant causing it to dry out. if you need a good solvent wd40 is it. its also great for quieting staticky volume controls and telephone cord detanglers. however wd40 will eventually ruin rubber seals and will damage most fishing reels and firearms. you shouldnt be having problems with brand new mirrors. the problems youre having w/your new mirrors makes me want to ask where you bought them and if it maybe says made in china somewhere on the box writes hi all! bought and installed the 2001/2002 tow mirrors for my 99 2500 ctd. went to clean them the other day and found the glass falling off on both mirrors...both the convex and flat pieces. mirrors also hard as heck to position properly. looked like they were only being held on with double sided tape...which had dried out...hence glass on mirrors loose and falling off. sprayed the innards with wd40 to free them up..helped some. thought about gluing the glass back on but then realized that this might not be a good idea...positioning mechanism likely to bind again and ill need to get the glass off to lube the mechanism again. also wondering if anyone knows if these mirrors were glued on originally or just being held with the double sided tape tia fred .

i have the factory anti-slip in my 05 ram 1500 hemi & it sucks in snow while in 4x4 or 4x2 but! driving in snow sucks with just about any vehicle. seriously i am not impressed with the anti-spin on the dodge but i do love the locker my son has in his 04 blazer! on sat 21 may 2005 181215 -0600 nathan w. collier montanajeeper@aol.com wrote it sux that if ordered new the option is only $285.00. oh well... keep in mind that the anti-slip factory option is not positive = posi=20 traction. positive traction refers to a locker and limited slip is = not=20 the same as a locker. the new power wagon has real lockers anything = less=20 is only limited slip and while its a bit better than an open = differential=20 its still only limited slip. due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect. .
