Q: i used all new plastic clips when i reinstalled everything. i realized once i removed the panels the only way to have a secure fit was to replace those clips. if your s hasnt been removed yet try to press in in different spots to see if you can press those clips in farther. -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi cool toys formerly carolina watercraft works ice angels the system you describe sounds great ... but how did you overcome the door panel rattling i have the factory infinity with gps and even as underpowered as it is the door panels vibrate a lot. in fact you can hear them over the cranked music. craig c. .

the contacts are dirty or worn out on the fuel level float. they are open contacts and sometimes they get crudded over but most of the time they just wear out. you cannot just change the float it is integerated into the fuel pump. a new fuel pump is around $180.00 dollars. coasty hi - two days ago the fuel gauge in my 97 dodge ram stopped working - read empty fuel light on even though i knew i had plenty. so... i did group searching this is a great group btw and figured i was in for a sender replacement. today on the way to work i um -happened- to drive across a traffic island to avoid a slowdown. when i landed boing the gauge started working again. what are the odds of this being a somewhat permanent fix if it happens again should i just drive willy-nilly over concrete barriers and save some money thanks -scott ok the last one was facetious - .

the $2250 is the total drive-out price for the repair replacing both fully assembled heads incl shop supplies grrr... tax and all work to-date. lawrence tnloaswpraemnmcien5g@earthlink.net writes final diagnosis cracked cylinder head. ouch. repair estimate grab your chest. $2250 which includes two *complete* new cyl heads incl valves springs rockers plugs wires etc and a 12-mo/12k mile warranty from date of service. so the next question is it worth it would you do it why or why not personally no. id replace the one head at a cost of about $650 for parts - id do the labor myself. does the $2250 include the cost-to-date of the teardown or have you already paid the labor for that however to pay someone else to do the work and guarantee it for a year for essentially $900 in labor isnt too terrible. look at it this way... the trucks not worth a whole lot resale-wise in its present condition. if $2250 gives you another year on it plus trade-in value for $188 a month thats saving you about $200 a month over what a new truck payment would be. if it gives you two years cut that in half. in the end i think its worthwhile to repair the truck. .
