1999 Dodge Dakota

Q: i have a 1999 v6 dodge dakota club cab with about 93k miles on it. the check engine light just came on. is this the standard the truck is getting up there on miles and this is the automatic check engine light any one else have this issue everything seems to be running fine and the gas mileage has not decreased lately. oh and yes the gas cap is on correctly lol..... thanks! tony .
