yep and your last paragraph also illustrates the insurance industries rate structure duplicity of insuring vehicles rather than drivers. cant have more on the road than there are drivers. from s. miller smail-pleaseremovethis-@gstarusa.com date 2/22/2004 328 pm central standard time this quote supports #13 even more the debate is sure to be infused with personal experience. blair buchanan a 45-year-old contractor who lives in north berkeley said he would support the tax because my next-door neighbor has like five cars and im sick of it. i also liked where the proponents admitted that the measure might not even pay for its own administratvice costs. the only positive point is that users of service should indeed bear the costs but even that doesnt make sense in this case as even if one owns multiple cars you can only drive one at a time thus no extra impact to congestion parking etc. by one person owning multiple vehicles. bigiron wrote i noticed this blurb from the link you provided i think thats crazy -- thats the republic of berkeley for you said david shames 60 a retired physician who lives in the elmwood neighborhood where he his wife and son each have a car. he would rather that everyone paid a surcharge on their car registration. and that caused me to think of number 13 from this list 1. a government which robs peter to pay paul can always depend on the support of paul. -- george bernard shaw 2. democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner. -- james bovard 3. foreign aid might be defined as a transfer from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries. -- douglas casey 4. giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. -- p.j. orourke 5. government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else. -- frederic bastiat 6. governments view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases if it moves tax it. if it keeps moving regulate it. and if it stops moving subsidize it. -- ronald reagan 7. i dont make jokes. i just watch the government and report the facts. -- will rogers 8. if you think health care is expensive now wait until you see what it costs when its free. -- p.j. orourke 9. if you want government to intervene domestically youre a liberal. if you want government to intervene overseas youre a conservative. if you want government to intervene everywhere youre a moderate. if you dont want government to intervene anywhere youre an extremist. -- joseph sobran 10. just because you do not take an interest in politics doesnt mean politics wont take an interest in you. -- pericles 11. no mans life liberty or property are safe while the legislature is in season. -- mark twain 12. a government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have. -- ronald reagan 13. the inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. the inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery. -- winston churchill 14. the ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- herbert spencer 15. i dont give my opponents hell. i just tell the truth and they think its hell. -- harry truman 16. there is only one basic human right the right to do as you please. and with it comes the only basic human duty the duty to take the consquences. -- p.j. orourke 17. we contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -- winston churchill 18. what this country needs are more unemployed politicians. -- edward langley 19. when a man spends his own money to buy something for himself he is very careful about how much he spends and how he spends it. when a man spends his own money to buy something for someone else he is still very careful about how much he spends but somewhat less what he spends it on. when a man spends someone elses money to buy something for himself he is very careful about what he buys but doesnt care at all how much he spends. and when a man spends someone elses money on someone else he doesnt care how much he spends or what he spends it on. and thats government for you. -- milton friedman 20. suppose you were an idiot. and you were a member of congress. but i repeat myself. -- mark twain .

i have a 1963 hawk motor home on a dodge chassis. i think it is on a one ton. single drive axle dual wheels. in my army days in the early 70s i did quite a few services on heavy trucks and it seems like those 5 tons were set up like this dodge ie the rear wheel bearings ran in differential oil. i seem to remember that we packed the bearings in axle grease anyway. should the bearings be packed right now they dont appear to have axle grease in them. and are undamaged. second question can someone tell me what the wheel bearings should be adjusted too also need to know about the front wheel adjustments. rear wheels are held on with a double nut and index washer. i havent pulled the fronts yet. i can do a car or pickup bearing job in my sleep but its been a long time since i did a heavy truck. .

exactly what parts do you intend to replace either you have just forgotten to mention a few tools or you are going to get into real trouble real fast. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving well im all set. i have 3 quarts of royal purple 75w-140 synthetic gear oil a tube of valvolines best synthetic bearing grease a new torque wrench and a tube of permatex ultra blue. now i just need to watch for the ups man to show up with the powertrax no-slip. the tension builds. im going to record the whole process with the digital camera and put the pics up on a website. its a strange feeling kinda scary going into a area of your vehicle youve never been before. but ive gone through the steps so many times i think i can do it in my sleep. three things im not sure about.. and im a person that likes to be sure about things before making the swan dive blindfolded into the abyss - the c-clips. how hard are they to get off and back on will i need to grab them with pliers and yank them off or pry them with something or do they just fall off - cripes. i just now learned somewhat accidentally about the rtv having to cure for 24 hours before you put the oil in. it says it cures in 24 hours at 70 degrees. the temp around here is 50-60 and probably very humid - its been raining on and off for weeks. i wonder if i should give it some extra time or something. - the label on the rtv says to put the two surfaces together immediately but quite a bunch of people say you need to let it sit for 10 minutes to give it a little skin or it definitely will not seal. however in situations like this i tend to follow the manufacturers directions. ron m. .
