i wasnt trying to give you a smart-assed answer. i dont expect people to be able to quote the dictionary from memory. i cant do it and i didnt earlier. i know what chrome is but i cant explain it as accurately as the american heritage dictionary. i looked it up and posted a simplified version of the definition for your benefit. mainstream car and truck manufacturers have been using chrome covered plastic throughout their vehicles for decades. i still assume the common buyer knows this. thats why i didnt understand why you thought dc was deceiving consumers. they are selling exactly what they advertise. if you dont understand what it is they are advertising dont accuse them of misleading you. steve wrote and.....which common buyer would know this and which salesman would actually tell you the technicals. use your head here....as for me i opted for the brushed....but my associate and many others who belong to some fine dodge groups were not as highly intelligent as you are when it comes to the definition of chrome cladding. if anyone has any useful information....it would be appreciated. tia steve wrote has anyone had any luck with dc getting them to warranty the chrome pitting problems and while misleading their customers into thinking that they have chrome rims while they really have plastic hubcaps. thanks! by definition chrome is chromium or a chromium alloy or something plated with a chromium alloy or a pigment containing chromium. how is dc misleading anyone .

theres not a specific one for certain vehicles lately dodge is recommending atf+4 but thats just so the service depts. only have to keep one fluid in stock same fluid for transmission transfer case ps pump. theres nothing special in a power steering pump clutches soft metal etc. that warrants any kind of special fluid and the steering gear is a run-of-the-mill saginaw box which is used in just about every recirculating ball steering setup outside of ford who always likes to do things their way usually to their detriment. therefore any off-the-shelf ps fluid will be just fine. atf could also be used in a pinch as could straight hydraulic fluid. .

now i was wondering if anyone has ever turned a 1500 into a 2500. the reason i ask is because i have just found for zero money a 360 truck engine. i just dont know if there is a difference with brakes yes springs definately tranny yep drive shaft/u-bolts u-joints and yes u-bolts are different too... 3 vs. 2.5 leaf springs engine mounts no - but the part that the engine mounts mount to the frame needs to be changed as well etc..... if etc means axles wheels and transfer case if 4x4 then yes. basically take your truck lift the body off roll out the 1500 chassis roll a 2500 chassis underneath and lower the body back down. dont forget to change the door emblems .
