1998 Caravan strut mounts rusting

From : dk1000

Q: hi i have a 1998 dodge caravan and the strut mounts seemed to start rusting real bad virtually over the last few months. what are my options i hear from someone that dodge makes some kind of sleeve that i assume you somehow put over the mounts to protect them from further damage but seems my right one especially may be beyond that point i aatched some photobucket pics of the rust. thanks much dan http//img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/dannywho/strut%20mounts/strutmountleft1a.jpg http//img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/dannywho/strut%20mounts/strutmountleft2a.jpg http//img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/dannywho/strut%20mounts/strutmountright1a.jpg http//img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/dannywho/strut%20mounts/strutmountright2a.jpg .

thanks everyone for replying ill have someone look at it monday to see if its worth saving - probably not the way it sounds. does anyone know of any recalls regarding this issue thanks also for correcting me on the left/right thing does make sense now. btw the van has about 128k miles. there are other rust spots starting to show on the body. cleveland winters are harsh and they use a lot of salt here. dan .
