1997 Dodge 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel upgrade

Q: hello. im a newby at this. maybe a foolish question. i finally purchased my first diesel truck - 1997 dodge cummins turbo diesel 4x4 ecab lb. i m a sportsman and tow alot of different trailers for fishing hunting camping etc. i just received the truck and love it. only thing i could find myself wishing for is some extra ummfff when it comes to accelleration. can anyone advise me what my options would be to make a modest increase in accelleration without drastically affecting fuel economy or engine life. i would appreciate this very much. thanks. brian irwin sault ste marie on. can. .

exhaust chiplarge gains on the diesels 97 doesnt have electronics... therefore nothing to chip. a tst fuel plate will do wonders for it though... .
