1.wheels 15 vs. 16 and rt was chromed 2. interior--door panels seat backs said rt 3. supposedly the 5.9 engine was a high performance version and required premium fuel although ive not been able to confirm this. i recently bought a used 00 and had driven maybe 6 slts and a couple of rts. they had the 5.2 5.9 and 4.7. both the rts seemed slow on acceleration like something was wrong with them. the 5.2s and the 4.7 out-accelerated the 5.9. unless you tow a heavy load frequently my recommendation is to go with the 4.7. ld i own a 99 durango 5.9 slt 4wd leather front and rear a/c 31x10.5 tires. can somone tell me what is different on the r/t model. i havent been able to come up with anything other than the wheels and maybe a little suspension upgrade. thanks joe xxxshawj@cableone.net remove the xs to reply .
