Q: if it were the crank position sensor he would have got a check engine light and probably an error code of p1398. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving thanks for all your replies. right now the truck is still in the shop. we had it towed to the shop because on the phone the mechanic said if it was the fuel pump which he was sure it was it would be covered by our extended warranty. but now the mechanic says the fuel pump is fine. he says he cant start it it turns over but wont start. now says we need new spark plugs wires rotor and cap. i might have believed him if i it werent for the fact that i changed the spark plugs about 8 months ago. he said he knew that but we didnt put in the correct ones dodge factory plugs this conversation with the mechanic was between my wife and him by the way. how could my truck run for the past 8 months if i had installed the wrong plugs... a lot of people i talk to feel it is the fuel filter. origin of problem. the odometer was around 270 when my wife took the truck out for some kind of errand. i usually get 300 miles per fill up. she drove about 3 miles and starting losing power. she had to pull over. she knew it wasnt good so she turned around to go home. she only had enough power to get it up to 20 mph the whole way home 3 miles. i have run out gas twice with this truck and i got the exact same symptoms lose of power. but the only difference in her episode was that she was able to go a much farther distance. in my two cases i lost power drove for another 500 yards and could go no further couldnt start it again. out of gas. all this took place while i was out of town. her father put about five gallons in it and it wouldnt start. it would turn over but wouldnt start. so we had it towed to the shop. i dont really believe we need the new wires plugs rotor and cap. i think its the fuel filter clogged partially with some junk that was in the tank. thats why some gas was getting through and allowing my wife to make it back home. should i just tell the mechanic to change the fuel filter and go from there see if that works dont you think he should have suggested that in the first place any help would be great. thanks could be just the crankshaft position sensor. but what do i know. coasty .

ice angels fmbb@sbcglobal.net says... heres my idea of how death row should be........... 2 rows of cells. 25 on each side. a big spinning wheel with the numbers 1 to 50 on it. every hour the wheel get a big spin. if your number comes up........ you lose. as the cell becomes available.... a new player enters the game. since there seems to be no shortage of players.... the game can run 24/7 the wheel of misfortune the reaper death is not a game. let the person be inocent until such time he is found not guilty or guilty. place time limits on appeals and force the upper courts to make room for these appeals on a timely basis. give them one appeal to the state supreme court and one to the us supreme court. give them 6 months to place the appeal and give the courts 2 months to hear the appeal and a max of 30 days between hearing the appeal and giving their opinion. that is 9 months maximum at the state level and 9 months at the federal level. i dont think the govenor should have an opportunity to do anything but watch the process. williams would have been dead almost 20 years by now. my 2 cents worth. fmb only one b in fmb and what about people who are wrongly convicted sometimes it takes 15- 20 years to prove them innocent. of course if the police and prosecutors would do their jobs correctly this would very seldom happen. but you know it has. i dont really care about tookie he did enough stuff to get offed for anyway but you see constantly on tv some stories about some poor bastard who is proven innocent 10-15-20 years after conviction and usually a couple of years of that time is caused by prosecutors dragging their feet or sometimes fighting a dna test. if they are sure of the persons guilt why fight it thats not taking into account the actual times the police frame people and the da hides evidence that clears them. perhaps with the advancement of dna technology laws should be changed to afford immediate testing. theres a local guy here who was sent up for murdering his girlfriend mostly due to the obviously coached testimony of his 3 year old son. after fighting for years and his grandmother protesting daily at the courthouse he got a dna test and like he claimed all along it wasnt him. the da isnt getting go completely as they still refuse to totally clear him saying we arent sure he wasnt involved somehow. they took 14 years away from him he lost everything his son is brainwashed and hates him his health is shot and they dont want to give him any cash for his trouble.. that seems to be happening more and more. seems a lot of it is politiclly driven. sort of clear the case load the elections next month. roy some justice! bdk . 222 309359 bo6of.1046$rw.10@southeast.rr.com tbone wrote most huh and you can prove this how nhtsa for one. youre the one that made the claim that this year of truck has brake line troubles yet you cant show me one scrap of credible evidence of such. if the problem is just beginning to show itself then how would they know about it -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

so you might need to run a pair on your v-8. . . .we just fixed the choke and crossover passage unplugged it instead. probably a good idea... the factory block heater came only on one side. i forget what the heaters are rated at - might want to check and make sure they wont overload a typical 15a circuit. i dont remember what the gas engine heater elements draw - but ive seen references to block heaters drawing 7-8a though this is probably the larger element used in the cummins engines. .
