1976 dodge m880 w200 4x4 w/318. it ran strong but had a miss in it. i replaced the plugs/cap/rotor and it did the same thing. while replacing the plug wires i noticed that 2 were reversed dont remember which 2 now. installed the new wires counter clockwise on the distributor 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and now the truck runs like total crap. i rechecked the firing order following each wire by hand. i had my neighbor check it the truck is wired 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 yet it barely runs now. the only possibility i can think of is that they wired it wrong the last time and turned the distributor until it ran its best. any other ideas or possibilities thanks -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

i guess i didnt understand what you said. why do you put it in neutral to start the car because the 47rh/re transmissions didnt circulate fluid in park and if the vehicle has sat for a length of time the converter wont be full of fluid causing the first few seconds of driving to be very sluggish-like. running the transmission in neutral fills the converter up. oh and never refer to a truck as a car unless it has leather bg ahem!! m no not another one..... what is this world coming to denny .
