john boy foxy@nospam.com wrote where can i buy a new egr valve vacuum solenoid for my 1995 dodge caravan this is that black plastic gizmo that the vacuum lines attach to. the chrysler dealer says i have to buy a whole new solenoid at over $200. there is nothing wrong with my egr valve. i just suspect that the vacuum solenoid needs replacing. some parts for caravans such as air and oil filters are listed under dodge trucks. john if theres a source i have yet to find it. usually its the back-pressure transducer that goes bad if left leaking long enough typical hot exhaust gas makes its way past the transducer into the solenoid burning it and the connector up. these things really are best replaced as an assembly. that said if youre getting a code 32 check the wiring harness for rub thru directly below and behind the battery where the harness crosses over from the chassis to the engine probably 30% of the code 32s i see are from an open circuit from rub thru. .

ive never seen them sold separately by anyone. find one in a junkyard or buy a complete assembly. theyre $71.99 for the 3.3 engine from www.cskauto.com or your nearest checker kragen or schucks outlet. rick where can i buy a new egr valve vacuum solenoid for my 1995 dodge caravan this is that black plastic gizmo that the vacuum lines attach to. the chrysler dealer says i have to buy a whole new solenoid at over $200. there is nothing wrong with my egr valve. i just suspect that the vacuum solenoid needs replacing. some parts for caravans such as air and oil filters are listed under dodge trucks. john .
