Q: check your local technical colledge. the ones around here will offer certificate classes in automotive repair. and yes they do offer one in auto hvac. the thing is i would really like to learn and what a golden opportunity now that i have a broken system i actually have two to get some experience. i am not afraid to spend some money on equipment i just dont know what to buy or how to use it. if what you are saying is that it is too complicated or involved for the do-it-yourselfer i respect that i guess. does anybody know a way that a guy like me could learn more .

wrote unless they use a brass drill bit well be hearing about some thieves who get fried andd whens the last time you saw a metal fuel tank on a pickup truck no prying needed. takes less time then using the key more often then not. but the tether will come off with a screw and it should be easy enough to attach it to a new cap if you cant find one. also you might try looking for tethered caps that just fit the same shouldnt have to be dodge oem. -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-locking-gas-cap-ftopict135387.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=658051 .

it will improve as the engine breaks in. i have a 2004 hemi durango 4x4 and get about 16 around town 19 or so highway. the 20 wheels make little sense to me. its a truck and a 4x4. that might hurt the city mpg if the overall tire diameter is larger. ramman@dodgecity.cc wrote definitely the fuel economy. my sons friend just got a new 05 ram 1500 qc hemi. bright fire engine red and 20 wheels leather interior. sharp looking truck. around town he claims he gets between 10 and 12 mpg depending on how he drives. hes only 21 so you know its mostly around 10. rsknk@sbcglobal.net writes thinking of trading in my 99 dakota sport v6 for a new 05 ram 1500 quad cab 4x2 hemi sport appearance group/look. saw some last night at the dealer and with the employee discount and other discounts the hole in the pocket would be about $22k. any pitfalls or drawbacks on the new rams - especially the hemi engine thanks in advance for your advice. ray austin tx ======= .

if what you are saying is that it is too complicated or involved for the do-it-yourselfer i respect that i guess. if youre serious about learning more for possibly a career i recommend strongly that you begin to consider a tech course. refrigeration/hvac is what i do for a living http//bighornrefrigeration.com and its been very good to me in addition to welding. i cannot stress enough the importance of learning right before you pick up any bad habits. i was initially self-taught and although i could get by for the most part i was a bumbling idiot until i got some formal training. if its what you want to do youll make a lot of money doing it.....just learn to do it right by getting formal instruction. if you just want the basics go to the library. haynes also makes a tech manual for a/c thats very basic. drop by your local auto parts store and pick up a copy. -- nathan w. collier http//inlinediesel.com http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com http//bighornrefrigeration.com .
