crawl underneath and diconnect the speedos sensor connector. you might want to slightly adjust the two prong contacts on the sensor for more pressure ..... slightly ..... then put the connector back together and go for a drive. same problem on my 91 and had dodge replace connector and no troubles in over a year and a half. on one occasion the spedo read 50 mph while parked at a convenience store !! connectors are real cheap .... a very stupid mistake by dodge on such a killer vehicle. garnet on fri 14 nov 2003 003049 -0600 dennis roslansky crossfire@vci.net wrote my 1993 cummins 5 spd speedometer oscillates 10 mph almost as though it had a kinked cable if it had a cable..... changed the vss which didnt help. i wouldnt care about the the speedo problem except that the throttle surges along with the speedo when the cruise is engaged... im afraid of getting whiplash or worse yet snapping a drive shaft yoke. anybody have an idea how to stop this dennis .

ralph if you get over to the hs-7 squadron at jax nas see if you can find my son seaman bryon cochran. tell him his dad said to straighten up. -- budd cochran in tribute to the united states of america and the state of israel two bastions of strength in a world filled with strife and terrorism. ------ i look forward to it. we have a couple of rv parks right on the beach here in jax. ralph hey mike do you know what the definition of a marine is its when the shit hits the fan! marrreeeen!! seriously this old salt has a lot of respect for you guys. before i retired a few years ago my last sea command was the uss hue city cg-66. named for the battle of hue. the only ship named for a vietnam battle so far. at any rate the more i learned of that battle the more i came to respect jarheads. each year we held a memorial/reunion onboard and i met some fasinating characters. their stories were stark reminders of the reality of war. every squid on that boat looked at you guys differently from that point on. thanks for keeping us safe on your watch. if you ever need anything from northeast florida holler. semper fi shipmate! ralph btw do you know why the army has mules and the navy has marines the army had first pick. sorry - couldnt resist. ralph he..he...he... thought id heard em all but thats a new one...... cute! ne fl huh might be down in your neck of the woods come early spring. momma and i are talking about hooking up the rv and heading south for a week or so to get a jump start on spring... if i head that way i may have to look you up and swap sea stories. mike for all of my fellow jarheads who have served and are currently serving in the service of this great nation. happy birthday!! november 10 1775 tun tavern pa semper fi!! oohrah!! mike --- outgoing mail is certified virus free by avg and norton checked by avg anti-virus system http//www.grisoft.com. version 6.0.537 / virus database 332 - release date 11/6/2003 .

recently my 99 1500 w/ 318 started losing fuel pressure when its sat more than a couple hours. overnight it generally takes a couple cranks on the key to get it running. fuel pressure when running is fine. bleeds down to 20 psi within 15 minutes and zero within an hour. logic dictates this is probably a bad injector or a leak somewhere back toward the tank. my ford had a 2 rubber hose between the top of the tank and the pump which rotted out after about 10 years leaving me with a screaming fuel pump no fuel pressure and a really bad mood - id rather avoid this situation again. my haynes book doesnt offer any good pictures of this piece - would a 99 1500 cc swb 318 2wd have rubber hose inside the tank js -- i just had a new fuel pump installed in my 97 dakota. it requiredlonger cranking and was getting worse over time. email replies not accepted. jim -- .

thanks for the advice... a new connector came with the vss and i installed it along with the vss aparently that must be a common problem. and i have not changed the tire sizes kind of hard to do on a dual wheel trk... so something else must be causing this... i had the same problem when i changed from 205x15 to 31 inch tires. went away when i changed back just a thought. . . . . crawl underneath and diconnect the speedos sensor connector. you might want to slightly adjust the two prong contacts on the sensor for more pressure ..... slightly ..... then put the connector back together and go for a drive. same problem on my 91 and had dodge replace connector and no troubles in over a year and a half. on one occasion the spedo read 50 mph while parked at a convenience store !! connectors are real cheap .... a very stupid mistake by dodge on such a killer vehicle. garnet on fri 14 nov 2003 003049 -0600 dennis roslansky crossfire@vci.net wrote my 1993 cummins 5 spd speedometer oscillates 10 mph almost as though it had a kinked cable if it had a cable..... changed the vss which didnt help. i wouldnt care about the the speedo problem except that the throttle surges along with the speedo when the cruise is engaged... im afraid of getting whiplash or worse yet snapping a drive shaft yoke. anybody have an idea how to stop this dennis .
