Q: replace thermostat. fill antifreeze level. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. i have a 2003 dodge ram quad cab 1500 series with the 4.7 motor. it has developed a problem where the heat blows warm out of the vents on the right side of the radio. the vents on the left are just blowing cool air. this is also the same problem with the heater...right side warm left side cool. the defroster works okay. it is not blowing hot.just warm. please e-mail me any suggestions since i cannot afford to take it to a dealer. i posted this on a friends computer so please e-mail bcoleman33@comcast.net thanks barbara .

tom lawrence wrote on position and i received a code that was c code 23 97.... any input would be great thanks...mars.. according to my 94 - 01 haynes manual says this code applies to 94 - 97 23 - intake air temp sensor input is out of range either high or low no - the c codes are cluster codes. remember that the 02 1500s are 3rd gen trucks and the instrument cluster runs just about everything in the cab. this particular code 23 is a headlamp switch input circuit open and it happened 97 ignition cycles ago in other words its a nuisance code - ignore it the p1491 code indeed refers to the cooling fan relay control circuit. .

replace thermostat. fill antifreeze level. why would you say that she says she has warm out of the rights side vents and defrost. probably the damn little door that is screwed up. roy yup probably the little door. you can search for lots of threads that match your symptoms on http//www.dieseltruckresource.com and they will tell you the same. they will also tell you how difficult it is to change out. is this work you intend to do yourself barbara fmb north mexico .
