Q: you got that right. i was only thinking about camping trailers. how about safety chains though for those two type of trailers oh yeah ive had my fair share of dead batteries including in the trailer. when mine is sitting as now i take the battery out and bring it to the garage and keep it charged as necessary not on a constant trickle charge. -- pcolaphil to reply remove spamnot. you and i are friends....... you fight i fight........ you hurt i hurt........ you cry i cry......... you jump off a bridge.... im gonna miss your dumb ass!!!! | | thats all well and fine on a camping trailer but doesnt apply to enclosed or | open car trailers | i guess none of you guys ever had a battery in your vehicle go bad either | | | | politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from | the rich. | .

barry micockiner wrote i posted a message a while back about my heater core and it being replaced along with the thermostat and the radiator and i still dont get what i call heat. after waiting a few weeks and keeping track of mileage temp gauge etc it seems that my trucks temperature is about according to the factory gauge 10-15 degrees cooler now. also my mileage has dropped around 50 miles less per fill up. could a lower operating temperature be the cause of the lack of heat and a lower mpg. it operates at about straight up on the gauge 200d it used to be around 210-215d. 97 ram 1500 5.2 129000 miles.......... the mileage has been consistent since i acquired the truck new so a drop of this amount is directly attributable or at the very least a huge coincidence to the work mentioned above. i need help here as the shop is saying they did everything right and i need more heat and more mpg thanks in advance everyone that offers some advice the stock thermostat is 195*. if the engine doesnt warm up enough the computer thinks its still in warm up mode. so it runs rich all the time. that will really decrease fuel mileage. also factory dash gauges are notoriously inaccurate. it should run at 200*ish. get a real gauge and double check. -- ..bob 01 dakota quad cab 5.9/auto/4x4 97 h-d fxdwg - turbocharged! 84 gmc jimmy - mountain beater 65 427sc cobra ffr replica - project 66 mustang coup - daily driver -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

i finally found time to look for this problem. it turned out to be the vacuum pot on the vent door. it had a leak. when switched to panel vent mode the motor would move slightly then relax again. i tested the pot with a vacuum pump. same thing happened. the diaphram inside was ruptured and distorted. the dealer had one in stock for 40 bucks. john jacob wrote 1996 dodge 2500 pickup cummins. last week my heat/ac air selector stopped working on the dash board outlets. switching the outlet selector to defroster causes the air to blow out of the defroster outlets. switching to heat causes the air to blow out of the bottom heat outlets. and the re-circulate mode opens the return air door. however the dash vents when selected blow no air. i would like to have some idea where to start looking before i tear into the dash board. any ideas john .
