1992 Dakota Transmission Issue

Q: take a flash lite and look at the base of the thermostat housing the gasket is probably seeping and going out that way all let me know what you think. i have noticed that when i get out of my truck i can smell the sweet scent of warm antifreeze. thorough inspections dont show any sign of leaks at all. i checked the fluid level and it was pretty low...very surprising as i always watch my driveway and parking spots for any signs of leaks. a colleague suggested it might be a bad cap so i refilled the radiator and overflow put on a new cap and will see what happens. thoughts er thanks! i will do this and report back. er .

tires are pretty worn but the wheels are in great shape. upgrade your old steel wheels or get a second set for snow/whatever. great deal on 4 great wheels! .
