1990 Dodge Dakota 4x4 service manual wanted

From : t jbill

Q: hello all... i just wanted to share my experience with all of you on this board. about a month ago i purchased a 2003 dodge dakota quad cab. it was on the lot...exact color i wanted patriot blue pearl coat...but it didnt have the power convenience that i wanted. it was all manual windows/locks/entry. but i took a ride anyway just to drive one having never driven one before and i loved it. so i sat down with the salesman anyway and started talking. i told him right off the bat that i didnt want the truck w/o power windows/locks/keyless entry. i asked if they had one that had the power options and he said no but after talking w/ his manager he came back and said they could put those options in this truck for me for $1000. so i said ok. so we went ahead with the deal and i went back the next night to pick up my truck. they told me that what they do is i take the truck and then make an appointment to have the options installed. i thought that was strange and i should have just said no and walked out at that point but i didnt like a fool. so i get my truck...the truck is great...no problems with the truck itself. i ask the salesman...when can we do the windows/locks/keyless he said he would check and call me back. well naturally it took 2 weeks to get him to find out for me...i spoke to him 5 different times about it and everytime he said hed call me back...but he never did. the 5th time he finally found out while i was on hold. he transferred me to the manager who set up the appointment with me and that was that. so i took the truck in and got a courtesy car from them. they had the truck 3 damn days to do the install...totally unacceptable as far as im concerned. but what was i gonna do...they already had it. so finally the truck is done and i get in...and i almost died. instead of installing factory door panels with mopar equipment like a truck w/ power from the manufacturer would have they installed some after-market crap that looked awful in the truck. they never told me they were going to install after-market...i guess i should have asked!!! but the thought never even crossed my mind. so i called the manager the following week and complained. left him several messages...he never called me back...big surprise. so i finally went in and spoke to him in person. he tried to defend what they installed saying that it was much nicer than what they used to charge people $1000 to install!!! but i said i didnt like it...i told him im fine with the work its clean it works it actually doesnt all work but didnt know that when i talked to him but you didnt tell me it would be after-market. he blamed that on the salesman. so he tried to make things right by offering to pay 1/2 of my bedliner which amounted to about $200. i agreed at first but then called the next day and said no...this is still not right. i dont like the after-market kit. i want it removed and either put in what i paid for which would be the factory parts or put it back to how it was when i bought it and give me my money back. after another 4 days of leaving messages i finally got a call back from the manager and he has said that theyre going to put everything back the way it was and my $1000 will be refunded to me. i also asked for it in writing and to have it faxed to me...still waiting for that but only asked today so i guess theres still time. it remains to be seen if theyll actually do what they said they will next week. the finance dept. scammed me too...sort of. i traded a jeep cherokee in as part of the deal. the payoff that the deal was figured with was $6000. however when i went to buy the truck the actual payoff from the bank was $6300...so they charged me an extra $300 to cover this. ok fine. however i had recently mailed a payment to my bank but it hadnt cleared yet. i told the dealer this and they said that any amount that the loan is overpaid by will be refunded to me. i was ok with that like the fool that i am!. so a few days later i see that the loan has been paid off. i called the bank to ask how much the payoff amount was expecting that they had overpaid but no...the payoff was $6006.36...almost $300 less than what they charged me!!! so i talked to the manager about this as well. he said that its their policy to make a call to get a payoff quote immediately prior to sending the check out. nice of them to let me know that. they were going to keep my money until i called them on it. the manager told me that a check would be cut on monday...its now friday and i still have no check. i have a feeling my troubles are not quite over yet... .
