Q: thanks for the comeback chris. the bearing caps were marked before removal and were not switched. also the cups and caps were thoroughly dry before installing them. i thought maybe some oil was creating the problem so i took it apart to make sure they were dry. .

i think that the first year for this will be fine - the caliber did really well as a first year i think integrating with the jeep platforms has helped with the quality on that front. scpo what did you think of the footwells on dec 7 1151 pm scpo s...@usn.com wrote have had my nitro slt for about 3 weeks now and i love it! first gotta say that i gave up a mitsubishi 3000 vr4 for this and that i really went to the dealership looking to buy a magnum awd. the magnum i looked at was about $46000 before taxes. i could hack this no prob but it just didnt seem like it was my cup of 10w50 cuz although it was a big block hemi it still didnt have all the bells and whistles i wanted - plus they the magnums are all sissy shifters arrrrrrgh. so i went for the nitro at $29000 which had more amenities a v-6 3.7 liter and more room which as i get older and seem to acquire more crap seems to make more sense. things i love about my nitro its really comfortable. the heated leather seats. the in-dash 6 cd/mp3/dvd player. my ol cars had them in the trunk. terrific gauge cluster/menu system which tells you almost every thing that one could think of and is really simple to use. pull out rear tail-gate tray that converts to table for tailgating camping etc.. two ac outlets. things that need improvement nothing so far except my gas mileage is about 14.7 mpg combined. let me know what you think. this i the first time out of about 15 cars i have owned that i have bought a first year production model - big no no right fair winds and following seas scpo .

seeing as it is the holiday season and all that is being accomplished here is the usual never ending bull shit threads i am going to try to lighten things up with my own bull shit thread. given the animosity that has become evident with a number of those who post here i purpose a day of relaxation and rest with.......yup the friggin machine. i figure that with the machine operated at its higher speeds it will jerk off a few of ya faster than youve been jerking off each other. the end result should be that ya are too spent and weakened to continue in the bull shit threads your involved in. thus the threads will end and the participates will find themselves relaxed and able to spend time with family and friends perhaps doing christmas shopping or whatever. now to accomplish this the friggin machine must be located. at last report it was being transported to the northwest by mac. he was supposed to give it to red. but alas there were reports of a long floppy eared creature in a dodge 4x4 with a plow and a load of carrots in the back headed that way. since that time nobody has seen it or admitted that they have it. although red has been kinda quiet of late. anybody have any ideas or thought as to who has or where the machine ended up please feel free to jump right into this bull shit thread with any info or thoughts you may have. you know that there are a few here that desperately need a few session with the machine so they regain some perspective as to what this ng is about. any help or info you provide will be greatly appreciated. remember this is another bull shit thread so any info you choose to provide need not be truthful or accurate. gbmfg roy .
