i asked my dad why he isnt keeping his little pickup truck in the garage. he said that he heard that they were catching on fire while being parked. he asked the dealer about it and they said that ford would be sending out letters concerning the problem. this was a few months ago. now you have to understand that dad is 85 and can get a little confused so i am not sure what to believe. have any of you here heard about such spontanious fires happening beekeep ps has anyone heard from budd lately and if anyone has his email addy would you ping it to me at honeybs@radix.net. i would like to send him a note. .

suddenly without warning steve exclaimed 2/28/2005 455 am hello i have a 2001 dakota quad cab. the heater fan switch doesnt seem to work properly. i cant say the switch doesnt work because when i go to the off position to any of the speeds such as low med or high i can see the a/c light come on. this makes me think the switch works but it seems like the message isnt getting to the fan. the fan will only work on high speed. any clues on where i should start working... thanks steve ah yet another one. do a search on this ng for blower motor resistor and you should find what you need. the short version is replace the blower motor resistor. ive replaced it twice in the last 12 months... jmc .

homebrewer wrote my truck came stock with 245/70 r17s - i want to put a 265 or 275 size tire on it. will this screw up the speedo or anything else if so what gadget do i need to get to fix it. i know some of the same trucks came with 265/70 r17s. thanks for any help... depends. changing the diameter of the tire will alter the speedometer. 265 or 275 would be a wider tire than a 245. if you change the aspect ratio to 60 55 or 50 youll be much close to the stock diameter. youll have to do the math on that and see where you need to be. -- ..bob 1997 hd fxdwg - turbocharged! 2001 dodge dakota qc 5.9/4x4/3.92 1966 mustang coupe - daily driver 1966 ffr cobra - ongoing project .
