Q: gee john just call me a liar and get it over with youll feel much more superior that way. -- budd cochran warning!!! poster still believes that intelligence logic common sense courtesy and religious beliefs are still important in our society and might include them in his posts. john learn to read. i said in one instance the rented forklift trapped air caused a bearing problemwhich indicates it can happen elsewhere. once again the trapped air by itself couldnt cause that problem; the trapped air had to be in an otherwise malfunctioning system. if you are as knowledgeful of the system as you claim to be you would realize entrapped air could only cause a problem in a system whose return port was plugged. and if you had been there you wouldnt be questioning my veracity. lemme tell you about the time i fixed a slipping transmission by tightening one lug nut on the left front wheel. wanna argue that it couldnt happen the fluid was as clean as it was from the brake fluid container. so the fluid was clean so what is dirty fluid the only thing that would obstruct a return i also stated that the perfect system only exists in text books. bullshit!!! a system that works as advertised is by definition perfect but if by your definition a system has to be incapable of malfunctioning then there is no perfect system. whatever. your mind is closed tighter than a bear trap and yours isnt .

any ideas what this is my 99 dakota has been making a noise at the front left tire....i can only describe it as a flapping noise at least thats the sound when im going fast enough like over 30 mph and the speed of the flapping is 100% correlated with the speed of the truck. by flapping i mean--really like a huge birds wings near the tire. at lower speeds hard to describe but i dont fell much vibration at any speed. also its only noticeable when the windows are down so its not that loud. at first i thought there was a nail stuck in the tire.....but never saw one....and no air loss from the tire. then i thought...maybe tire balancing but i dont know if its the tire ball joints etc.. i should stop speculating here...i really no nothing about ball joints etc.. its been going on a few months but seems to be louder now. i dont know where to bring the truck. i dont think bringing it to a tire place would be a good idea since theyll be biased towards finding a tire problem. ive been using a dodge dealer for most repairs but for something like this no theyd charge around $40 for a test drive. also whoever test drives it will have to actually sit in the driver seat...i dont think its audible from the passenger seat. thanks for nay feedback. sounds like the tire is cupping. or perhaps a belt shift. take it to a tire store and have them spin it. if it has been going on for a couple of months it should be a fairly obvious. roy .
