Q: david wrote i exited the freeway the other day on a long gradual curve of an exit. i straightened out and stayed in my lane then noticed the blinker was still on. at the same time that i was reaching for the lever i heard a chime same as when the keys are in the ignition the door is open etc... i quickly looked at my overhead console and the instrument panel to see if there were any visabale indicators there wasnt... so im wondering if theres some sort of audible notification that the blinker has been on for an excessive length of time ram 2500 2005 cummins 4x4. thanks david... my 99 ram chimes out two slow pings when the low fuel warning light turns on. was your fuel level at 1/8th of a tank when this happened .

lookit that three more times where you justify being an ass by pointing at someone else and saying but he did it tooo!! youve now proven my assertion that you never take personal responsibility for what you do. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. how quick you are to jump the gun not surprising though. you were wrong. why because you decided that there was no other way it could be as evidenced by your name calling and insistance actually no i wasnt. the op while not naming the truck series did say that he believed it had two sensors located on eater side of the converter and asked which one the error code was referring to. as for the name calling that was once again and as usual started by gary. i did not decide it was the only way it could be done i went by the ops claims. no it doesnt you dumb fuck. it has 2 sensors but they are pre and post converter not one on each bank. if you had been a reasonable person and said that the info you had differed from someone elses youd have had a shot a being right. funny how you cut out the line that this was in response two where he said started by calling me this first and then said explicitly that the truck had two sensors one on each side. why is it that gary can make these statements and even make them first and when i respond in kind it is me that has the problem. sorry max but as usual you arguments are just spin and have no merit. but you didnt . you immediately noted that the oher person couldnt possible know enough e.g. dumbfuck and noted what you felt was correct and distinctly used a negative e.g. not to describe the scenario you felt was incorrect. which is exactly what your little buddy did first imagine that. the difference is that the op specifically mentioned that he believed that his truck had a pre and post sensor not one on each side and in a pre / post setup a failure of the pre sensor will put the computer into open loop mode. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

snoman i agree with what you said about the front hubs! would the 4 wheel stay engaged even though the bearings were dried out i have done some research on this vehicle and sounds like some type of vacuum system engages the 4 wheel drive. there is not manual hubs on the outside as with the other older 4 wheel drives i have had or worked on in the past. there is 187000 miles on the motor which is a 318 and it runs really well without a miss at idle or acceleration. i brought it home yesterday and found some type of drive gear about the size of an outer bearing in the floorboard rapped in a towel. he told me on the phone he had other parts to give me that i have not yet gotten. thanks for your response spencer m. -- message posted via carkb.com http//www.carkb.com/uwe/forums.aspx/dodge-truck/200506/1 .

donstaples wrote theres only one real problem with the idea of free waste cooking oil.restaurants sell their waste oil to recyclers so they are unlikely to want to give it to you to make biodiesel and households dont really produce enough to be worthwhile. not around here! theyre apparently all too happy to give it away. the local conversion company actually did a cross country drive to demo their product stopping at fast food joints the entire route out and back and it apparently was not problem to get the oil for free. now of course if *everyone* was out looking for waste cooking oil i suspect it wouldnt be long before it wasnt so free! smh .

transurgeon wrote the transmission cannot and does not produce torque please try to be precise in your explanations actuallt they do they produce more torque at a reduced rpm by mulitplication through gear and stall ratio so it is producing a high torque output at a lower rpm than is possoible without. actually they do not the converter think about the name takes higher rpm lower torque input and converts it to lower rpm higher torque output the transmisison cannot produce any torque but the torque converter does make the above conversion; hence the name torque converter .

from what i have read its a speed sensor located in the rear differential. my dakota has the same symptoms and i believe its fairly common. i havent repaired mine yet but they tell me the part is $35.00. hi allmy abs/brake light stays on.at first it would only be on awhile and when you turned off the engine and started it back up it would stay off. now it stays on.i also noticed the speedometer doesnt work untill you hit about 30 miles per hr.i took it to a shop and they used a hand held checker to test it. it shows 2 errors7271 ecu rom checksum error and 71 is ecv ram rod wright error. the guys didnt know what this means. anyone got any ideas thanks! .
