17"/18" wheels and 36"/37" tires

Q: just got a new 2004 ram 2500 qc 4x4 diesel and i want to lift it and put some wheels and tires on it. unfortuantely i am having a hell of a time finding wheels and tires for this truck. someone in my local area has this truck with a 4 lift and 35x12.5x18 wheels and tires. they look anemic on this truck. too short and skinny looking. i want to go with a 36 or 37 tires but i cant find all-terrains or off road tires in that size that arent really skinny or arent mega-lugged mud tires. most of my driving is on-road so i dont want mud terrains. i dont intend to do any serious off-road running just want the clearance and ability to handle some snowy areas/dirt roads and light trail driving for hunting. anyone know of a tire in 36x14.5 or widerx17 or 18 that doesnt have monster mud lugs the nitto grapplers look good but they dont make them in this size range. the dunlop radial rovers look ok but again too small in size which seems to be the story for most of them. pro comp and several other manufacturers have what i want in tread design but they dont make them in 17 or 18 sizes only 15 and 16. this truck requires a 17 wheel minimum. i found a picture of a 2003 ram that looks about what i want http//www.tuffcountry.com/images/dodge2003large.gif. this truck has a 4.5 lift and 36 tires. i e-mailed tuff country asking what brand/size the tires and wheels are but they never replied. anyone know or can guess what brand/size these tires are -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

areas/dirt roads and light trail driving for hunting. anyone know of a tire in 36x14.5 or widerx17 or 18 that doesnt have monster mud lugs a quick glance through some magazine ads comes up with mickey thompson f-c ii in 37x13.5r17 bf goodrich all terrain in 37x12.5r17 youre not going to find a tire wider than 14.5 without going to a 38 off-road tire like a super swamper. nitto grapplers look good but they dont make them in this size range. the lt335/65r18 is a 37x14 roughly. .
