belt moulding i beleave they are called. they rust out in the north country. ask your dealer junk yards wont seperate from the door. ... does anyone happen to know a part #/exact name for the exterior weather strip moulding that goes on the bottom edge of the door window opening also is there an on line source to purchase this item. i can practically find every other dodge truck part that exists out there except this one. 1996 dodge ram 1500 sport ext cab 5.9ltr. 2wd .

on-line you can find it by going to http//www.dodge.com/ram1500/ then click model information button page down then click on transmissions you will see the 4.7l - 6 speed manual is the standard combo for the slt and available on the st when the 4.7l is chosen. on sun 13 feb 2005 105458 -0700 big al nospamsal1@qwest.net wrote thanks for the responses. maybe the manual is not out yet. in november a dealer told me that but i thought they would be out by now. it is supposed to be the standard transmission. looked on dodge.com and i dont see any manual transmission listed for the 4.7l. al more poking around found this http//www-5.dodge.com/vehsuite/towingguide.jsp you can find a six speed 4.7l listed here al .

roy take a look at the following link. http//search.cartserver.com/search/search.cgicategory=accessorieslights04 x&cartid=a-8491&keywords1=&keywords=4asale&go if word wrap doesnt let you get to the site then go to www.rcpw.com and look for the category on the left-hand side. i just happened to find them while searching. hope this helps. it did thanks for the link. roy peter. i saw these on a site a few years ago. dont remember where though. you drop the plow down on these and you can push it wherever you want. if i cant find them i suppose the ones for a car or truck can be made to work. roy .

first... shut up roy..i already know im ugly and the wife dresses me funny.. bg second lets say youre the proud owner of a 05 whatever with less than 1000 miles on it. you notice the left front parking light doesnt work and take it in to get fixed. lo and behold you are told its not just a bad bulb but the socket itself is defective and the only way to get it is to get a complete harness from the inst cluster thru the firewall and to the front lights. now the question is would you want even the most qualified tech to take most of your dash out and run a new harness everywhere under the hood or would you rather the dealer go to a boneyard and snip a connector off a donor vehicle and sodder/heatshrink it into place its only three wires and very easy to get to behind the headlamp assy. one hour vs at least a full day to replace the harness. no cost to you either way. what do you guys think denny not me ild splice another one in and solder the joint and use heat shrink to lease it. jmhfo though. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

someone wrote does anyone have one of these i have not been able to find one to test drive so any thoughts or informaiton would be appreciated. would like to know if the shifting is smooth and sure what the performace is like esp. vs. the auto trans and what the gas milage is like. i did drive one with an automatic transmission and liked it but i was thinking that a manual would offer better performance milage and control. does anyone know if this is true they are not due out until late 2005 whatever that means. the 6 speed for the dakota is supposed to be a getrag much smoother and more precise than the one in the ramss and previous dakotas more along the lines of a tremac. but of course less strength. a manual is much better for what you want than the 5 speed auto. i believe but could be wrong that the getrag will have the first 5 gear ratios like the tremec and nv transmissions but the 6th will be another od like around .5 like a corvette. what would be nice is the same ratios as the nv but with an extra low first. then you could run a 3.00 rear and still have good torque application. this came from the dodge web site -a state-of-the-art getrag 6-speed manual transmission* is standard on all models except when equipped with the 4.7-litre high-output magnum v8 engine -advantages of the getrag 6-speed lower first gear ratio to improve launch and low-speed acceleration more closely spaced ratios for improved fuel economy in everyday driving and more usable overdrive -both 4-speed automatic and 5-speed automatic transmissions are available. the 5-speed automatic provides a second overdrive ratio for increased fuel economy and reduced engine noise at highway speeds -- ..bob 1997 hd fxdwg - turbocharged! 2001 dodge dakota qc 5.9/4x4/3.92 1966 mustang coupe - daily driver 1966 ffr cobra - ongoing project .
