Q: on 8 dec 2006 163835 -0800 buc ehudson77@yahoo.com wrote hi all before my ignition switch went bad my heater and a/c worked fine. after replacing the ignition switch the only thing that works is the blower and the a/c. i get no hot air. what could have went bad buc maybe you somehow disconnected the vacuum line to the air door. .

do these heaters get hot enough to damage the oil if they are left on for a couple of days im assuming the heating element is in contact with the oil but maybe not. the heaters installed in the side of the block in a coolant passage. it warms the engine coolant. it wont get hot enough to boil the coolant - its only about a 600w heating element trying to heat 6 gallons of coolant 3 gallons of oil and about 800lbs. of cast iron all sitting in suo-zero temps. .

what a bunch of wussies we have here.... arrrggg....friggin rabbit!!!! somebody has to provide the cheap entertainment.... you are with the double post. whats up for some reason my posts dont show up for an hour or so. damned computer/server/ reader/seat heater/whatever... ya probably have a knot in the wire.g roy denny naw it just takes awhile to permeate the gaseous aura around the wabbit. you are probably correct mike. as you know it is a real looooong way around the wabbit. bfg roy mike .
