Q: on sat 06 may 2006 003654 gmt sandy a. nicolaysen 3brn529l4skcg5mr30afc1bhtdfcj93t8h@4ax.com on fri 05 may 2006 232147 gmt will sill will@epix.enet wrote i see where sandy a. nicolaysen sandynic@verizon.net contributed anybody had any luck with those big spoilers mounted to the roof of the truck cab the spoilers work great which is why they are virtually standard these days on big trucks. you might see 3-5% better mileage on yer kenworth according to industry experts. lessee 4% of 6mpg boots you up almost 1/4 of a mile per gallon. not bad. however they are as worthless as a campaign promise if not correctly sized close enuf to yer trailer and the right height and angle. in fact if theyre not right in all respects you get no mileage benefit. before paying yer $$$$$$$$ get the peddler to offer a good guarantee that it will do the job. imo virtually all available units are eye candy sold via hype. will i suspected exactly the same thing otherwise every rver would be using them. thats why i asked. one thing that seems to work is be keeping the speed down. this past weekend a round trip from princeton nj to knoebels groves in elysburg pa netted a solid 8.9 mpg by limiting my speed to 60 mph. i used to get 7 mpg trying to keep up with the truckers. btw congratulations on the bigger better rv combo! thanks! after two tts it should be a different towing experience. regards - sandy two years ago i took a blue road trip to florida. f350 dually 13000 fiver. running the speed limit mostly 55 i averaged around 10 miles to the gallon. running the highways at 60-75 mph my mileage drops to around 8 mpg. thats a 20% decrease. as far as a fairing goes save your money. the front cap of the fiver will do a better job. -- frank tabor maybe hes just to improve the looks of the cheby!!! it wont help though. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .
