Q: i drove one of those in the early 70 they were permentaly assigned to each trooper and the cause back then for the occasionaly internal hot dog roast was the lack of insulation between the floor board slop / fire wall and the engine compartment. they were some fast cars and sounded hot as well. made our fords look like old lady cars sorry ladies. jem hopefully their new ones wont spontaneously ignite like the 1980 st regis cruisers did. their wiring harnesses werent heavy enough for the police related equipment. many departments lost cruisers while their emergency lights and radios were operating. anyone here have info on contacting dodge for info and pricing on police package vehicles our local sheriff and police departments are looking to buy new vehicles and would like to at least compare dodge to the quotes they already have. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. .

since the front axles are always turning is there any reason you couldnt disconnect the front drive shafts and axles to save gas i never use 4x4 any more. what was dodge thinking when they decided to get rid of locking hubs .

i had someone say a bad fuel pump. i went out and bought a fuel gauge. this way i can see the fuel lbs. it had 6 lbs. edelbrock said i needed 6 to run the carb. thats what i have. .

pull the fuse for the ecm and save a lot of time. my malfunction indicator light came on in my 01 truck and called the service department and they said no big deal just bring it in when you can. with a little investigation i found that you can check the code by cycling the ingnition from on - acc -- on -- acc -- on and it will display on the odomiter. my code was 455 which is evap evaperoration system leak detection. often caused by something as simple as a gas cap left off. problem is dodge does not seem to offer a user friendly way to reset the code. called a firend that does have access to a code reader that would re-set it but he said just disconnect the battery cables and short them together for a couple of minutes we are talking about the cables not involving the battery in any way!. worked and the stupid litle light is off. might come back on if there is a real problem but would hate a trip to the shop for a false alarm. john .
