Q: from pamela willoughby pjw31@willouby.demon.co.uk groups uk.misc date sat 05 aug 1995 180832 gmt organization myorganisation lines 15 message-id 142297143wnr@willouby.demon.co.uk hmmm strange eh. i mentioned all this goings on to my boyfriend who works for the british intelligence service and he assures me this sort of thing never goes on.. not ever...honest. though he said the name was familiar... it does go on although its an open question who does it. some time ago there were press reports of an army intelligence person called jones who claimed diana and hewitt had been photographed in a compromising position... he said hed been doing this as part of an army unit which had previously operated in northern ireland. then hewitt said hed been told the same thing by some army people and that they were threatening to release the tapes unless they curtailed their liaison... as per usual everyone denied everything painted jones as the jones twins - not very original in how they deal with their perceived enemies are they you have to wonder how they manage to achieve this sort of surveillance though. audio you can understand its possible to put a microphone through the wall and apparently there exist devices which will retrieve sound from a laser beam bounced off a window - sounds sci-fi but theres a well known surveillance electronics company in london which sells these things. but how would you get video out of a room unless you had actual physical access in order to plant a device for pickup were not talking about looking in from afar but an actual device within the room. you could either drill through the wall and shove a pickup through; or you could supply a trojan device with a hidden pickup inside; but most likely you would have to physically break into your target room to plant a camera. thats not an infeasible option; all it means is having your targets watched to make sure theyre not in the vicinity then you negotiate any locks on the property and find a suitable receptacle for your device. the next question is how they defeat the usual methods of counter- surveillance. we had private detectives carry out a sweep of every room and the telephone line. they found nothing. that indicates at least four possibilities that i can think of; this is all guesswork btw and probably fanciful guesswork at that! 1 no bugs pull the other one 2 radio-transmitting devices which can be controlled from an external source ie you can instruct them to switch off when you detect a counter-surveillance sweep taking place 3 hard-wired devices; probe microphones or whatever theyre called things you poke through the wall 4 passive surveillance devices; so you bounce laser or radio waves off a suitable reflecting surface again sounds far-fetched but such things may apparently exist. 5 there is a fifth possibility that the pis didnt detect an actual transmitting device; there are technologies specifically designed to avoid detection eg frequency hopping and suchlike. but how much sophistication could you build in to a device which would have to be small enough to be physically concealable i guess the real question is to find out who is ultimately behind these goings on. and if the great and good or the better known at any rate cant protect themselves what hope is there for the rest of us 5639 -- posted via a free usenet account from http//www.tera.com .

swat teams and have about three block radius evacuated. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. roy wrote heres something i ran accross on the b permit. a class b does not permit the holder to carry concealed and loaded. i wish theyd just either outlaw the things altogether for what that would be worth! or just register you to carry/conceal loaded/unloaded as you wish! dont know why they need to over complicate it so much. back when i was a kid i remember walking home from squirrel or grouse hunting with friends through the small downtown section of florence a small town center of western northampton right on rt 9 and stopping off at friendlys for some breakfast or lunch. wed walk right in with our shotguns/rifles lean them in a corner and eat then walk the rest of the way home. wed probably be arrested today! thanks for the info. smh .

on thu 25 jan 2007 171032 -0600 geekboy white@nerdy.com wrote no the us has 5 ppm diesel. the us used to sell high sulphur diesel until i think till the 80s that is why the pump handles were yellow but now green. notice the fuel containers are still yellow. i do not know where you are getting that. first there is no 5 ppm requirement yet and the us had nothing but a 500 ppm standard until my typos... 15 ppm about a year ago after epa mandated the change some time before that and also not current dodge sold today as it is equipped meets nox emissons for 2008 as they will have more equipment added to them in 08 and the new cts will gain about 130 pounds in the process for additional emission controls added to it. the main reason for lsd is so they can add true cats to them not thermo reracotrs mistaken for cats staring in 08 as sulpher need to be at or below 50 ppm for cats to work on them. any high sulpher fuel around here is just from stocks because it is not longer being made and even off road will be lsd. ----------------- thesnoman.com .

i only disagree with only one point - the ac pump and its bracket need to be moved to get to the water pump anyway. lets expand on your post for a minute. im not knocking you its just a good place to make a point. i doubt any shop is buying parts on the internet. when i was doing this for a living we bought things from retail outlets mostly napa motor parts remember when it was motor parts anyway we got jobber prices for the sake of argument lets say your $15.00 is retail and $10.00 is jobber cost. in the early to mid seventies our the one shop where i knew what it was its probably more now markup was 182%. so now were at $18.20 retail for the hose alone. now lets consider labor. i know im on thin ice with the magnum engine but did the job the original poster have done require the a/c compressor and bracket be removed if not i think those need to be removed to get to the intake end of the hose see these--- those are question marks means im asking a question and assuming to be true until shown otherwise how much labor is that .3 .4 .5 hours at what labor rate $80 $100/ hr so now maybe were talking around an extra $75 for the hose that might have looked okay since my other post in this thread i had another thought. its also possible the shop didnt do the original job correctly and are trying to cover their ass as it were with a red herring. we may never know the entire story here. .
