04 Dodge Cummins HO reprogramming microchip

Q: so i just got an estimate to replace both universal joints and the wheel bearing hub assemblies in the front of my 1997 dodge ram 1500. i agree that i need this work the wheel bearings are shot and unfortunately sealed. whats worse they cant be seperated from the front assembly. anyhow the guys says $2200 to have this work done. does this seem excessive to anyone i feel like im being taken for a ride.... .

what vehicle did you install that in this is a 2002 dodge ram 1500. its a pretty vanilla truck standard cab lwb 2wd 4.7 v8 auto etc. differential was a 3.55 open. it didnt have the optional trailer towing package which includes a limited slip rear trac-loc and a lower gear ratio. ron m. .
