Q: why do you need to know if its the same as the 2004 speaker wiring is all the same on anything if its there use it if not run new. vehicle panels really dont change from one year to another. im sure the 05 is the same for the most part as the 04. just break out the driver and go at it man... keep pulling stuff apart till its all loose. then when the jobs all done the extra screws you have left over. just leave them in yours ash tray till next time you pull it all apart and maybe figure out where they go then ...hehe thats what i do jason lynch wrote nope they are the stock junk stuff and stock cd/radio horrible sound - had the infinity system in my durango i just traded in the infinity isnt bad at all i really enjoyed it for the last 3 1/2 years stock head unit and all very nice sound in the durango body i opted to do my own thing in the 05 dakota so the question above..... not much info out on the 05 yet even crutchfield techs cant tell me yet. i want to do it myself ill just wait out some info. still waiting on the pioneer ipod controller due out in march. but will probably jump on the alpine cda-9851 with the ipod controller before then and replace speakers as well. i want a ipod based and controlled system notme@nospamyahoo.com wrote jason lynch wrote have a 2005 dakota quad stock stereo and 4 speaks and i want to replace. anyone know is the wiring the same as the 2004 also removal of panel to get to radio and all 4 door panels the same inside as the 2004 didnt get into it yet but would like any info on trouble spots or easy ways to get to the radio and 4 speakers any info is appreciated thanks when you do get around to it and if the speakers your replacing are infinity sound. let me know if you want to sell them. .
