sorry i didnt realize i mispelled f......d. there ya go - thats better... if you didnt know the answer why not just ignore the post asshole. i never said i didnt know the answer - but given the fact that you tried to address the subject line to me i felt the need to at least acknowledge you if only to tell you to go to hell. with your attitude and behavior around here its doubtful most would even pull over to piss on you if they saw you burning on the side of the road much less take the time to reply to some inane question that was most likely a cheap attempt at a back-handed flame. i hope that answers your question. as for the gear ratio question.... take it to aamco - they can tell ya. .

dan not all rams are made in mexico and unless the 49 percent of d/c stockholders have renounced their citizenship and fled the us for der fatherland it is still very much an american truck. perhaps not as much as ford and gm but a hell of a lot more american than toyota nissan et al. mike i am considering buying a 2003 hemi ram giving dodge and america one more chance but am understandably vervous. the 1500 you are talking about is made in mexico and the company german. not sure this is a way to give america one more chance... .

you dont need a jack4x4. monroe reflex handle great but are too stiff the ride diminished. it pounds off rode. oil all the old mounting bolts the day before you remove the old shocks. watch for rear uppers locking tab on nut you dont need a wrench on that side. hi guys . im going to make my first attempt at replacing the shocks on my 98 dakota. ive never done this before and it looks fairly easy. can anyone give me some pointers.. the dos and donts. will the jack that came with the truck be ok for this job one more question - any sugguestions as to what type of shocks to use i was looking at rancho. .

i bought a new 04 dakota 8 cyl in october. got about 15 mpg for the first few months then changed to a synthetic oil blend and picked up another 1 mpg. tried different fuels found citgo gave me another 2 city 3 highway mpg. just switched over to all synthetic mobil 1 and believe it or not added another 2 mpg. im actually up to almost 20 mpg cruising 65-70. loose about 1 mpg from 70-75 then it drops like a rock. on thu 3 jul 2003 074936 -0400 josh tripodi jtripodi@cox.net wrote josh tripodi wrote hi i just bought this truck a few days ago... the gas mileage is pretty terrible i know everyone already realizes this already.... but its new to me. is there anything i can do to improve it spark plugs air filter....etc and please dont tell me to buy a car if i had known what i know now i would have. thanks! -josh with any new vehicle gas mileage is usually not that great during the engine break in. give it a thousand or 2 miles and it should improve. there isnt a spark plug or air filter in the world that can increase your mileage. -dave 91 dodge ram d150 92 dodge ram w150 http//www.geocities.com/matt4982/mytruck.html ok... thanks for the advice. good think i didnt spend $50 on a k&n air filter then.... the preson at autozone said this would help... i didnt think so though. thanks again! there is so much you can do to improve your gas mileage...with engine upgrades... for instance open-up your exhaust get a cai and put a performance ecm computer chip in it and you can get about 100 more hp out of it all because itll burn fuel more efficiently... and if you dont gun it youll be tempted to all the time your mpg will improve alot... look into it... and its not that expensive btw.. .
