02 RAM 1500 owners please read ,get loss of power around 40-55MPH at around 1500 RPM ?

Q: i have the 5.9 quad cab 4x4. the truck has been this way since i bought it. it seems like you have loss of power at the speeds above and you have to press on the gas a little harder. once you get up to around these speeds let go of the pedal . then give it some gas but dont punch it. the pedal feels soft and not tight like a motorcycle in too high of a gear. yeah that is it. it feels like it is in too high of a gear. that is the best way to explain it. you have to press the gas harder until it reaches a spot where it is back to normal smooth acceleration again unless you press too hard. then it jumps up a lot in rpms and you hear the motor like you just punched it. other than this the acceleration is smooth at other speeds than those above. i have told the dealer and they said they have updated the software yeah right!. is this just how the motor is on these trucks thanks .
