Q: if its blue smoke oil id bet on valve seals too they are dried up and hard as rock quick murray harper wrote i would bet your valve seals are shot moe i have a dakota 5.2 v8 that normally doesnt use oil. but if you get in a lot of stop and go traffic it will start smoking real bad. can anyone tell me what is wrong usually valve seal problems will cause a puff of smoke at engine start-up but not much if any afterwards. .
