Q: i am having a problem with my dash vents on my r3500 cummins diesel. as you sit in the drivers seat there are two dash vents for the driver. from the passengers seat there are three dash vents. when i run my a/c i get ice cold air out of my drivers dash vents; however outside temperature air is blowing out of the passengers side. im assuming there is a switch or acuator sp that is not working on the passengers side. does anyone have any idea is it easy to get to where do i locate the switch thanks in advance. bob oops! sorry for the repost. i am having the same problem with a 2003 2500 ctd--mines a california standard output. i havent been under the dash and i hesitate to take it in---im wondering if its a vacuum hose. the passenger side does get cold after a while but the volume of air and the temperature is just not what is coming out of the drivers side. i love the truck though. i have concluded it is an actuator switch but you have to tear the dash out to fix it. here is a good link to find a 2900 page service manual for a 2003 dodge pickup. http//www.hemitruckclub.com/ .

our 2000 durnago started making a terrible squealing noise whenever the truck is initially started up and the a/c turned on. if the a/c is turned off the noise goes away after a few moments. if the truck has warmed up a few minutes the noise does not happen at all when a/c is turned on. im 95% sure it has to do with the belt. however would it be belt tension or indication the belt is getting old would it be best to replace the belt now or use belt dressing for a while will this affect the alternator or a/c fuction at all mr. .
