'01 1500 QC hood insulation pad falling down.
From : miles
Q: on my 2001 1500 qc ram the insulation attached to the underside of the hood is falling down. it appears that the pad has shrunk enough to cause it to tear around most of the clips that hold it up. anyone else have this problem im afraid to ask the dealer how much a new pad is and i would assume a new one would only last a year or so as well. any sources of bulk insulation that could be cut to fit and last never had this problem with any other car. usually the pads last for years. .

..bob wrote you could just tear it out and foget it. my 95 ram didnt have. and neither does my 01 dakota. i would think the engine heat would tend to cause the paint on the hood to deteriorate much faster than normal. .

i have seen it before but i see a lot of dodges. not very common though. uselly because of a wreck or coolant got it saturated. surpisingly they are not to expensive $48.00 p/n 55350404ac at dodge and get it within a day or two. .
