i have a cat back dual exhaust system from rhino performance and it rusted out in two years so i want to go with a different brand without spending a fortune. 95 ram 1500 ext cab 4x4 5.9l 192k and running great. meineke muffler has a vortex system but they tell me massachusetts is now rejecting their system at inspection for noise. i would like to spend no more than $400 pass inspection and still sound a bit throaty i really dont want anything too loud . any suggestions .

the obd2 connector for the scan tool that they have will not fit your vehicle all you need to do is cycle the key three times to retrive a code from the computer on off on off then on it will flash out a series of codes by blinking the engine lite flash flash pause flash flash flash pause would be a code23 it may start with a 12 and always end with a 55 here is a site that may be helpful i havent read it all yet and dont no if it supports your older system http//www.autotap.com/ auto xray also has a complete line of scanners and readers that will handle odb1 and odb2. be prepared to spend from $150 on up depending on what features you want. the drb units used by dc will run you several thousand. bruce .
